i will no longer be embarrassed i will no longer be a victim of insecurity i will no longer plague my mind with worries i exist i am allowed to exist i am allowed to take up space i will not let others dictate my experience i will live i will live i will live
People rarely notice your flaws that you worry about, because they’re too busy worrying that you’ll notice theirs. Remember this if you feel self conscious or embarrassed
every day i get my heart ripped out & every day i simply just continue
so much unprocessed grief so little human contact something more happens something awful or sad & you think you don’t even have any room left to ache properly you let yourself have one quick sob & u plunge your hands back into the sink & wash the dishes & the next day it’s the same. more of the same
Your chances for a better life don’t end after your 20s. It’s a new beginning, that’s all. You can still chase your dreams at an older age, you can make new paths, new careers, and you will find new opportunities to improve your life. Growing old doesn’t have to mean becoming obsolete, even if society glamorizes being young. You’re not wasted or useless because you’re older. You don’t have an expiration date set to your 30s, 40s, 50s… because you’re not an object for consumption, so don’t ever let society make you believe that. You’re on this earth to live the best way you can, and you can still change your life at any age, even if other people don’t give you credit because you’re growing older.
Its okay if you’re not who you thought you would be, take all the time to grieve the person you tried so hard to become when you wanted to better yourself and learn from your past mistakes. But its also okay to just love the person you are now and learn to get to know that person better. There is no shame in being who you are, even if you still have a lot to learn. You don’t always have to upgrade yourself, sometimes there is peace in appreciating who you are and what you have right now.
